Czech Radio (Český rozhlas ) is a public radio broadcaster in the Czech Republic broadcasting national and regional radio programmes using AM/FM and DAB terrestrial transmissions together with 12 high audio quality digital internet radio stations. Czech Radio is one of the oldest broadcasting organisations in Europe having started in 1923 in what was then Czechoslovakia. Czech Radio is ‘a national cultural institution whose mission is to serve the public’. All 12 stations broadcast a 128kbps MP3 and 160kbps and 64kbps AAC stream and 4 of them (ČRo Vltava, ČRo D-dur, ČRo Jazz and ČRo Radio Wave) have CD Quality Lossless FLAC streams. There are a number of news and regional channel offerings offering low and medium audio quality programming which can be found via the Czech Radio website. Genre: Classical Music.
